December 16 / 189

Cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI) research has earned a prestigious Young Tall Poppies Science Award for Dr Benjamin Rubinstein from the Department of Computing and Information Systems.

Dr Rubinstein is internationally recognised for his research into adversarial machine learning in AI. He researches the robustness of the AI used in today's cyber defences, and the impacts big data analysis has on user privacy.

The Tall Poppy Campaign was created in 1998 by the Australian Institute of Policy and Science (AIPS) to recognise and celebrate Australian intellectual and scientific excellence, and to encourage younger Australians to follow in the footsteps of our outstanding achievers.
