University of Melbourne Veterinary Hospital rebrands as U-Vet

March 15 / 154

The University of Melbourne Veterinary Hospital will now be known as U-Vet Werribee Animal Hospital and U-Vet Geelong Animal Emergency for the Geelong branch.

The new brand celebrates the hospital’s contemporary approach to veterinary science education and its vision to be the leading veterinary teaching hospital in the Asia Pacific region.

U-Vet will continue the hospital’s provision of practical veterinary education experiences by operating a general practice clinic and specialist referral services, 24/7.

The clinic is open to the public and services are available to University staff at a 10 per cent discount.

To celebrate the launch of the new brand, University of Melbourne staff members that begin as new clients and book for the month of April will receive a one-off discount of 15 per cent.

Associate Dean Professor Ted Whittem believes U-Vet will provide both pets and their owners with comforting and non-threatening experiences at the ‘vet’, while DVM students are taught the best standards of care and empathy.
