What is your title and unit?

I am a Relationship Manager at Information Technology Services.

How long have you been with the University?

I only started in this position in April: I’m still a newbie. In 2013 I was looking for a new opportunity and after a couple of months off, I decided to apply for this role, and the rest is history.

What does your day-to-day job entail?

My best thing about my job is there is no such thing as a typical day.  I could be doing anything from helping my faculties or divisions with queries, improving our internal processes, or working with colleagues to answer out-of-the-box or unusual questions. At the end of the day, if I have a few minutes, I try to absorb as much information about the University as I can.

What’s something about yourself your colleagues may not know?

I’m pretty much an open book, but they may not know about my travels – I went to Morocco with my sister and we decided to ride camels into the Sahara Desert for an overnight stay – it’s one we won’t forget in a hurry.

Where do you buy your coffee on campus?

I don’t actually drink coffee, but I love the chai lattes at Seven Seeds.

What do you like most about working at the University?

It’s lovely to be able to say you work for such a prestigious organisation, and I love the variety and the different challenges that come across my desk every single day.

What’s a piece of advice you could share?

There are two things my mentors have shared with me: always be brilliant, and look after your reputation because it’s the only one you’ll ever have.
