The internationally regarded linguistics and Russian studies scholar Darra Goldstein has been awarded the 2016/2017 MacGeorge Fellowship to complete a piece of scholarly research and writing, hosted by the School of Languages and Linguistics at the University of Melbourne.

Infrastructure Engineering PhD candidate Sina Khatami was named Postgraduate International Student of the Year at the Council of International Students Australia (CISA) annual conference in Darwin recently.

Indigenous winter camp at Ormond College

Late last month 28 young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students arrived at Ormond College to commence a five-day culturally enriched, STEM focused program at the University of Melbourne. The young people ranged in age from 12 to 18 years, and were drawn from areas as far afield as Brisbane; Portland, NSW; Mildura; Robinvale; Wodonga; Kyabram and Bundoora.
