Open Day 2014

August 14 / 142

Thousands of visitors came to the University’s Open Day at the Parkville and Southbank campuses to discover opportunities and plan their studies.

Prospective students and their families were invited to plot their careers and examine the courses available at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Melbourne’s Open Day has evolved to be a vibrant showcase of student life and creativity, as well as the beautiful environment, with 150-year-old buildings and state of the art contemporary facilities welcoming visitors.

Highlights included tours of the new Melbourne School of Design Building, bronze sculpting, Piano Bar sing-alongs, and the once-a-year viewing of specimens in the Anatomy and Pathology Museum.

A (Redmond) Barry the Bear mascot also visited South Lawn and featured prominently in the University’s Instagram feed
