Celebrating a significant partnership

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Glyn Davis, was joined by Minister for Health and Ageing, the
Hon. David Davis to welcome participants and acknowledge the importance of collaboration
between academics and policy makers in achieving outcomes.
More than 100 participants contributed to the event, which highlighted the partnership's four
key themes: Health Services and Systems Research, Workforce and Professional Practice,
Place, Health and Wellbeing and Facilitating Active Ageing in Place.
With about 15 projects underway as part of the broader partnership, attendees represented
several faculties, the Departments of Health and Human Services, clients, community service
organisations and local government.
The symposium also opened the way for a bi-annual workshop which will identify new
projects and challenges for the partnership to address. This year's workshop will be held in
September.
